TRA Board held an informal meeting with consumer protection agencies, NGOs, major telecom stakeholders and TRA experts on Thursday, May 20 at 2:00 PM at the TRA premises to discuss the latest developments and TRA actions in protecting Lebanese consumers of telecommunications services.
Several topics were openly reviewed and discussed and more particularly:
- The four regulations that were drafted to protect consumers: Consumer Affairs Regulation (CAR), Code of Practice for Value Added Services (VAS), Human EMF exposure Limit Regulation (EMF) and Quality of Service and Key Performance Indicator (QOS)
- The CPD hotline (1739) that handles consumer complaints and the TRA coordination with Service Providers to resolve them
- TRA actions regarding Children protection in cyberspace and Cybersecurity
- TRA actions to support the disabled in telecommunications
The meeting opened the floor to many interesting discussions with the invitees to better understand their needs.
