The use of Network Infrastructure Equipment (NIE) in Lebanon is restricted to licensed service providers and operators. In all cases, a licensed service provider or operator can import his needed NIE into Lebanon directly or via a local Importer who hold an importation license dedicated for this class of equipment.

For all network infrastructure equipments, as well as for large network equipments, the TRA has stated recommendations regarding the importation and the manufacture of such equipments. The overall recommendations as well as safety specifications are detailed in the following documents.

• Open the file called “Technical Specs.doc”. It contains the list of classes and equipments type and a link to their technical standards.
