Eng. Manal Shihab - TRA Senior Software Expert, and member of the ACT Inter-Ministerial committee, participated in the 3rd ACT Project Steering Committee (ACT PSC) meeting that was held at the Grand Serail on March 12, 2024.

The committee presented the Strategic Progress Report 2023-2024 for the Advance Counter Terrorism for Lebanon Security Project. Eng. Manal Shihab presented the capacity building trainings that spanned over the past 3 years. In her intervention, she highlighted the importance of establishing the National Cybersecurity Training Center since those trainings were dispersed in different locations. and suggested that all trainings are focused in one dedicated center for all. She concluded her intervention by showing the audience how these trainings instilled in the participating organizations a national consensus of working together on the same table and sharing information for the sake of securing the country.

The meeting was co-chaired by Major General Mohammed El Mostapha - Secretary General of the Higher Council of Defense and Chairman of the ACT Inter-Ministerial Committee, Judge Mahmoud Makkieh - Secretary General of the Government at the Council of Ministers, and Mr. Cedric Pierard – Team Leader, Governance and Social Sector, EU Delegation. It also gathered representatives from FIIAP, CIVIPOL, Arma dei Carabinieri, EU, Spanish Embassy, French Embassy, Italian Embassy, as well as Lebanese representatives from governmental organizations in the Telecom, Banking, Finance, Law Enforcement and Academia sectors.
