A new QoS section is now available on this website

Law 431/2002 has provided the TRA with the responsibility to ensure a good level of Quality of Service (QoS) for the Telecommunications Services offered by licensed operators and Service Providers to the Lebanese public.

Since its establishment in 2007, the TRA has been working on improving the Quality of Service and has issued in 2009 the "Technical Quality of Service and Key Performance Indicators Regulation" which objective is to mandate a minimum set of standards that a Service Provider shall meet and to identify a meaningful set of KPIs for the mobile, fixed, data and ISP services.

Within this framework, and in order to keep the public well informed, the TRA website has been updated with a new “Quality of Service” section accessible from the bottom of the left menu of this website. This new section details the QoS Regulation, the Key Performance Indicators and the related target levels. It also has a dedicated sub-section about the network outage report that Service Providers shall provide to the Authority whenever any outage occurs. It also details the QoS measurement and monitoring system that will be used for measuring the performance of telecommunications and data networks, and for analyzing the traffic and the reporting of key performance indicators on fixed-line, wireless and data networks.
