Former Chairman leaves the TRA under a storm of applause.

It was a deep, yet very emotional moment when Dr. Kamal Shehadi relayed to the TRA team his consideration, esteem and appreciation to each and everyone’s work during the farewell lunch organized by the staff on Friday, April 30th.

Dr. Kamal Shehadi announced his resignation from his position as Chairman and CEO of the TRA for personal and professional reasons on April 23rd after having served at the Authority and transmitted his knowledge and positive thinking to the team for more than 3 years. During the lunch organized by the TRA staff on April 30th at al Halabi restaurant, Dr. Shehadi handed over his prerogatives to Dr. Imad Hoballah, Board Member and Head of Telecommunications Technologies Unit who will be serving as Acting Chairman and CEO as of May 1st. Dr. Shehadi assured that the work undertaken by the team will sustain and that the TRA and will be carrying on its mission regardless of any circumstances. He also assured that everyone will be very soon reaping what they have sowed and that many positive changes and developments will shortly occur in the Lebanese market. Dr. Hoballah thanked Dr. Shehadi for his devotion to the TRA and Lebanon and his willingness to develop the telecommunications market and mentioned: “The work you started will be continued and you will be soon hearing from us.”

The team presented to Dr. Shehadi a trophy engraved with the expression “The values and knowledge you conveyed will remain. Thank you”. He was also presented with an album containing the pictures and personal quotes of each team member as a token of appreciation for all what they have learned from him and shared with him.

Dr. Shehadi left the restaurant premises under a storm of applause while saying “we will surely keep in touch!”.
