The “Improving FM Broadcasting” paper serves many purposes; it aims at improving the quality of FM Broadcasting by enhancing the coverage and reducing interference.
In addition, the TRA is seeking comments from stakeholders on ways in which the FM Broadcasting in the 87.5-107.9 MHz band can be allocated and improved. The feedback received will be used to advise the Government of Lebanon on the appropriate policy to be adopted regarding the FM Broadcasting band.
The “Improving FM Broadcasting” paper is now launched for consultation. Interested parties are kindly requested to submit their feedback before the 30th of January, 2009* after having reviewed the following documents:
The feedback can be submitted by email at fmbroadcasting@tra.gov.lb or by courier (hard and soft copy) at the TRA, Marfaa 200 Building Second Floor, Beirut Central District along with Cover Sheet for response to a TRA Consultation.
The final version of this paper will be published in both Arabic and English after the conclusion of the consultation.
* The consultation closing date has been extended from 19th of December 2008 to 30th of January 2009.
