In light of its mission to achieve high transparency among its stakeholders, the TRA focused on raising awareness about its role and actions by creating an interactive dynamic website having an easy navigational scheme.
Initially launched in 2007 in a static and basic version, the TRA website developed then into a more advanced interactive platform in English and Arabic, delivering interesting and relevant content to the TRA’s various audiences. The TRA website continued to expand, increasing the visibility of the TRA on both national and international levels.
In that regards, the TRA has participated in the E-Government Web Awards (member of Pan Arab Awards and ARADO Awards) and won the “Structural Creativity” award.
An awards ceremony was organized by the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) and the Pan Arab Awards Academy on Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at the Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel where the TRA, represented by Mrs. Mahassen Ajam, Board Member, and Head of Information and Consumer Affairs Unit, received the prize among the Public Authorities and Institutions Websites Category.
The TRA is committed to provide fair, equal and easy access to information and therefore opted for a constantly updated website through the development of new sections, new interactive modules and new and rich content. The TRA provides stakeholders with an easy and simplified tool to access information through its website’s sections:
- The left menu gathers all TRA related subjects andoutputs (consultations, regulations, decisions, publications, Type Approval, Spectrum, etc…),
- The upper menu addresses 3 audiencescategories: consumers, service providers, investors,
- The banner-oriented area at the right side of the page highlights the latest and essential TRA news and summarizes regulations and decisions content.
This award is the third one received after the website’s launch in 2008. The TRA has previously won two prestigious awards at Lebanon Web Awards in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
