Further to the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR) that took place in Lebanon in November 2009, the TRA chose to dedicate its 2010 /Q1 newsletter to the preparations, challenge and the positive impact of this conference that helped reposition Lebanon as a regional leader in the telecommunications field.

Having gathered around 600 participants from 110 countries, the GSR will remain in the memory of all participants as a very successful event from both the professional and social perspectives. This newsletter also tackles the IPV6 technology, its status in the world and in Lebanon and contains an interview with Dr. Imad Hoballah, commissioner, Board Member, Head of Telecommunications Technologies Unit at the TRA, about “Market entry in a converged world”. It encloses as well a recap of the latest TRA website updates and telecom news in the world.
