The 9th Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR) being one of the most important and prestigious event in the telecommunications sector, the TRA, as the host, is organizing several social activities to give a chance to all participants coming from more than 98 countries worldwide to enhance their networking, share knowledge and enjoy Lebanon, the most charming of countries in the Middle East combining the ancient and the ultramodern.

During the conference days, coffee breaks and business lunches are organized and sponsored by various companies such as Thuraya, Etisalat, Cisco, Solidere, Alcatel Lucent, AT&T, Intel and Meatel. These represent opportunities for the participants to meet each other at the end of each panel and hence, to have side talks and discuss further the presented material.

TRA is organizing, on November 9th, a special Gala dinner with a traditional Lebanese Folklore setting. The dinner, sponsored by Banque Audi, will take place in Deir El Kamar (i.e. the "Monastery of the Moon"), a very well known historic town restored and maintained with an old typical Lebanese feudal architecture located in the Shouf Mountain. In fact, it was declared a World Heriatge Site by UNESCO.

In addition, TRA is arranging for a guided tour on November 10th, to allow the participants to discover Beirut’s Central District, where lays the city’s oldest ruins embedded in the most modern frame, recently renovated. Following, the tour participants will sway the night away in a traditional Lebanese restaurant enjoying their favorite mezzeh & shisha.
