The 2nd New Arab Woman Forum, taking place on October 23-24, 2008 at the Intercontinental Phoenicia Beirut will consider various issues and challenges facing women in the Arab world today and how they are being overcome. The first day will be devoted to the question of women and leadership in politics, business and society generally, and the second to the broader concept of the meaning of womanhood and feminism in the Arab world in its various attributes, activities and implications.

In a session dedicated to women and technology, Dr. Shehadi will be answering questions and issues related to the role of ICT in the economic and social development of women. He will also develop on how ICT can empower women, the policies that need to be put in place and the steps need to be taken to expand the reach of good practice examples.
