TRA Board meets Prime Minister as part of ongoing institutional outreach and engagement efforts
January 17, 2026

As part of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s (TRA) ongoing institutional outreach and engagement efforts to reinforce the Authority’s role and mission, the TRA Board members visited Prime Minister H.E. Nawaf Salam on Friday, January 16. This visit falls within the TRA’s broader initiative to strengthen coordination with national institutions and decision-makers, while ensuring sustained endorsement and support. The meeting focused on key priorities related to the telecom sector and regulatory governance.

During the meeting, Dr. Jenny Gemayel, TRA Chairwoman, presented the Authority’s strategic plans and regulatory roadmap, emphasizing the TRA’s commitment to regulating the telecommunications market based on the principles of transparency, accountability, and equal treatment.

The discussion also addressed the importance of reactivating the full prerogatives of the TRA, in order to enable the Authority to perform its duties effectively and implement its mandate without interruptions.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed his full support for the TRA’s mission and underlined the importance of empowering the Authority to play its independent regulatory role.
