As part of ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and organize Lebanon’s Internet sector, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) participated in a strategic meeting convened by H.E. Minister of Telecommunications Mr. Charles Hage at the Ministry, with the participation of Data Service Providers (DSPs), to discuss the organization of Internet distribution and the launch of a new digital platform for licensed companies.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders in the sector, including the Acting Head and General Manager of the TRA Mr. Amine Moukheiber, the Director General of Investment and Maintenance at the Ministry Mr. Bassel Al-Ayoubi, the Director General of Construction and Equipment at the Ministry Mr. Naji Andraos, the Director General of Ogero Mr. Ahmad Oueidat, the Presidential Advisor for Studies Brigadier General Ziad Haykal, as well as representatives from DSP companies, security agencies, and several directors from both the Ministry and OGERO.

In a major announcement, Minister Hage confirmed that the nomination of the TRA board members will be added to the Council of Minister's agenda next week, signaling a strong governmental commitment to reactivating the Authority’s functions after a long period of institutional stagnation.
