As part of ongoing efforts to enhance Lebanon’s spectrum governance, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) was officially handed over the Spectrum Management and Monitoring System by the Ministry of Telecommunications (MoT).

The system, along with its associated data, was formally transferred to Mr. Amine Moukheiber, Acting Director General of the TRA on Tuesday, 17 June 2025.

At a recent meeting held at the MoT offices, attended by representatives from both the MoT and TRA, it was agreed that the system would be placed at the TRA’s disposal for the purpose of conducting a full technical evaluation of its components. The goal is to assess the system’s readiness, determine what is required to re-activate it, and prepare it for effective operational use by the Authority.

This milestone represents a critical step toward modernizing Lebanon’s spectrum management, improving transparency, and reinforcing national capabilities in monitoring and regulating radio frequencies.
