As part of Lebanon’s national strategy to reform and strengthen its telecommunications infrastructure, the Ministry of Telecommunications is working to integrate the country into the global network of nations offering Starlink services.

On Thursday, May 29, a meeting was held between the Minister of Telecommunications and Starlink’s Global Director of Licensing and Development, accompanied by officials from the U.S. Embassy, to explore the potential benefits of introducing Starlink to Lebanon.

Discussions focused on enabling companies operating in Lebanon to access fast and reliable internet, while ensuring the protection of national interests. The introduction of Starlink is also expected to position Lebanon as a secure and advanced communications hub capable of attracting international companies and boosting investment in the country.

The TRA will play an essential role in this process. In addition to supporting the development of operational requirements and technical specifications, the TRA will contribute to drafting the licensing and operations decree necessary for Starlink’s implementation in Lebanon.
