Mr. Amine Moukheiber, TRA General Manager and Eng. Mohamad Ayoub, TRA Spectrum Manager and member of the Lebanese National Committee for migration to digital TV, participated on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021, along with other concerned stakeholders, in a meeting hosted by the Minister of Information and Communications Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd and the Minister of Telecommunications Eng. Talal Hawat at the MoI's premises, where participants examined relevant solutions to prevent the TV and radio broadcasting service disruption due to the shortage in fuel.

Participants agreed to form a joint committee whose mission is to develop proposals and solutions to remedy the service disruption of broadcasting radio and television transmission stations. Participants explored the possibility for Tele Liban stations to take over the broadcasting of other stations in case of emergency. Attendees examined various ways for securing subsidized diesel for private and public media institutions, and gasoline for their staff. Participants also discussed the possibility of creating a unified broadcasting network that would take over the transmission of various stations in case of service disruption.

This long-term project requires the reactivation of the joint committee between the MoT, the TRA and the MoI.
