Mr. Amine Moukheiber, TRA Acting General Manager, attended the 14th annual meeting of FRATEL in Luxembourg on December 1-2, 2016, under the theme of "How to ensure an effective deployment of communications networks? "

The event was attended by more than 120 participants representing 24 members of the French speaking countries. Participants included telecom regulators, international institutions (OIF, ITU, European Commission), public institutions (AFD, ANSSI,Mission France Très haut débit) and other sector players (operators, donors, law firms and consultants).

The new coordinating committee was appointed with the Swiss Ofcom as President and the ANRT of Morocco and the ARTCI of Côte d'Ivoire as vice-presidents. The 2016 activity report as well as the 2017 action plan were discussed. The upcoming meeting was scheduled in spring 2017 in Abidjan under the theme of "Which regulation to promote an open Internet? And the organization of the annual meeting in the second half of the year in Belgium under the theme of "What is the impact of the new digital ecosystem on the electronic communications market and on other sectors of activity? ".
