Dr. Imad Hoballah, TRA Acting Chairman and CEO, and Dr. Elias El Hachem, President of CNAM (Institut Supérieur des Sciences Appliquées et Économiques) signed today, Friday, February 13, 2015, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the TRA premises. This MoU was signed under the patronage of HE Minister of Telecommunications Cheikh Boutros Harb in the presence of H.E Rector of the Lebanese University, Dr. Adnan Al Sayed Hussein, the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the Lebanese University, Dr. Hassan Zein El Din, the Director of BLEU (Bureau de Liaison Entreprise-Université), Dr. Mohamad Safa, CNAM Board Members, and the Heads of departments and different cnam-centers in Lebanon as well as several MoT consultants, TRA staff members and the media.

The CNAM is a public institution of higher education, primarily intended for students who work and wish to continue their studies. CNAM works closely with companies to meet the training needs of its students and performs three main tasks: educate throughout life, do research and disseminate scientific and technical culture.

This cooperation agreement is an extension to the agreement signed between the TRA and the Lebanese University in 2012. The MoU aims at strengthening the relation between the Authority and the CNAM through the exchange of information, expertise and knowledge. The MoU covers various areas such as Student Project Topics, presentations and updates, R&D activities, workshop and training activities where the TRA shall be providing assistance to the students and graduates.

This MoU is one in a series of other cooperation agreements signed between the Authority and other institutions in the framework of the TRA efforts to build bridges and exchange knowledge and expertise.
