TRA experts, Dr. Wafa Bou Diab, Senior Quality of Service Expert and Mrs. Soha Saifeddine, Senior Services & Technologies Expert participated in the EMERG workshop on Broadband Service Regulation that took place in Amman, 16-17 June 2014.

The workshop, according to EMERG 2014 work program, tackled the theme of broadband service regulation and more specifically consumer protection with regard to broadband speed, contractual and delivered speeds, quality of service, update on developments with regard to Net Neutrality, exploration discussion of OTT services and any impact on regulations.

Dr. Bou Diab gave a presentation explaining the case of Lebanon with regard to Broadband Quality of Services and Measurement tools and highlighted the importance of the QoS considerations in the developments of Net Neutrality regulation and for OTT services. Mrs. Saifeddine explained the current efforts of AREGNET with regard to the Net Neutrality and OTT.
