The Lebanese National Committee for Transition to Digital TV announced earlier today the closure of the pilot broadcasting period on 30 April 2014. The pilot period started in January 2014 and was destined to test the equipment, the coverage, and the synchronization of the (SFN) digital terrestrial broadcasting. The Committee would like to thank all parties who have participated in the pilot project for their cooperation and professionalism.

The Lebanese National Committee for Transition to Digital TV is in charge of the implementation of the national plan for the migration to digital broadcasting in Lebanon (under the Council of Ministers Decision No. 1/113 and Decision No. 1/293 issued by the Ministers of Communications and Information) and headed by Dr. Imad Hoballah, Chairman and CEO of the TRA.
