The Arab Internet Governance Forum (IGF) was founded in 2012 . It brings various stakeholder groups from Arab countries to discuss public policy issues relating to the Internet, exchange information and share good practices with each other. The AIGF facilitates a common understanding of how to maximize Internet opportunities and address risks and challenges that arise.

Dr. Imad Hoballah, TRA acting Chairman and CEO, participated in the Arab Internet Governance Forum on March11-13, 2014 in Cairo - Egypt, and was elected Chairman of the "Arab Multistakeholder Advisory Group" (AMAG) of the IGF. The AMAG members meet before and after the annual meetings of the Arab IGF to set the agenda of the annual meetings based on open consultations that involve multi-stakeholders from the Arab region. The AMAG gathers members from governments, the private sector and civil society, including representatives from the academic and technical communities.
