The TRA reveals its strategy at the 'e-helpline' conference

The Ministry of Social Affairs (Higher Council for Childhood), the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities (General Directorate of Internal Security Forces), Himaya and World Vision Lebanon jointly organized a round table to discuss and develop a cooperation strategy within the “e-helpline” project to protect children online.
The TRA, was represented by its Consumer Affairs Manager, Ms. Corine Feghaly, and actively participated by pinpointing its Children Online Protection strategy. Mrs. Feghaly explained the actions undertaken to draft the Code of Practice for Internet Service Providers which is in final stages after having been consulted amongst AREGNET members.
The agenda covered a summary of the e-helpline launch, its technical specifications, the collaboration between Himaya and the different ministries and authorities and the necessary steps for a clear process for Himaya to inform the concerned authorities for urgent criminal and legal cases received by children through the e-helpline.
