Social Media is changing the way we interact and communicate with each other. It is fast-reaching through tools that they use in their everyday life. The TRA has therefore deployed a two-phase project to reach the widest spectrum of the Lebanese population through Social media channels.
The first phase of the project, was implemented in 2012. It focused on outbound communications with the public. The TRA set up all of its website pages to allow direct sharing of its content with more than 120 social media platforms with one-click. The TRA has also implemented RSS Feeds to allow users to subscribe and read its news in a timely manner from the software of their choice.
During the second phase of the project, the TRA focuses on the inbound communications with the public and is getting more engaged with platforms that are easily available to the general population such as Facebook and Twitter. The TRA has launched its Facebook Page
https://www.facebook.com/TRALebanon in February 2013 and started tweeting telecom-related consumer-oriented news on its Twitter account
@TRALebanon #TRALebanon to create more awareness among the Lebanese consumers about their rights and responsibilities in the telecom sector.
