Dr. Imad Hoballah, TRA Acting chairman and CEO, and other TRA representatives participated in ICT Summit Eurasia ‘12 (Istanbul, September 11-13).

From Western Europe and Balkans to Middle East, Caucasia and Turkic Republics (of Middle Asia), the summit brought together business and technology professionals and provided an environment where participants could witness the state of the art development in ICT.

ICT Summit Eurasia ‘12 offered exhaustive information about the future of the technology and the business, and Dr. Imad Hoballah shared his knowledge in the session about "Next step in Telecom".

The summit also hosted the second "ICT Summit Eurasia Awards" to recognize successful cross-boarder projects that have been implemented by the ICT companies of the region and awarded the contractors of these projects.

During the summit, copies of ICT news Eurasia magazine, in which Dr. Hoballah was interviewed, were distributed to all participants. In his interview titled "Innovation and talent richness", Dr. Hoballah gave an overview of the ICT market in Lebanon and explained how Lebanon is advancing to make up for the delays in ICT infrastructure and e-services. Dr. Hoballah also stated that Lebanon is rich in terms of business and innovation and skilled people and that it is a fertile ground for major ICT investments. He also stressed on some important actions to be undertaken to foster Broadband connectivity in Lebanon.
