As a founding member of the Arab Observatory for cyber security, the TRA, represented by Dr. Imad Hoballah, acting chairman and CEO, and Eng. Said Haidar, TRA Senior Quality of Service Management Expert, will be participating in the Second Regional Arab cyber-security day titled "Safety and security in cyberspace," on November 21-23, 2011.
Dr. Hoballah will be giving a speech during the opening ceremony and will be moderating the panel about “cybercrime” on the second day of the event.
This event is organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Jordan under the auspices of the Professor and Chairman of the University and in cooperation with the Arab Observatory for cybersecurity.
This conference will be held within the framework of the Arab Observatory for cybersecurity activities, which was launched in December 2009. The observatory will tackle the following topics:
- The Economic and social repercussions of cyber security.
- ICT security challenges and cyberspace protection, and the facilities that a safe cyberspace offers.
- e-government and the requirements for information and privacy protection.
- The investigations and prosecutions and the prerogatives of the judicial police and security forces with respect to cybercrimes.
- Status of ICT protection and the risks facing the national security.
- The role of the government, the academic sector, the civil society and the other sectors in raising awareness about the importance cybersecurity.
- The challenges facing the privacy required for cloud computing services.
- Cyber war
- The role of international and regional organizations.
- social challenges and the risks facing children and adolescents while surfing the Internet
