Dr. Hoballah actively present on the international telecom scene

Dr. Imad Hoballah, TRA acting chairman and CEO, will be actively participating in below international telecom conferences during the month of October and sharing his knowledge and expertise.

- The 15th ASMG (Arab Spectrum Management Group)
This meeting is being held in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt from 1- 5 October 2011 to finalize all Arab proposals and contributions to the RA (Radiocommunication Assembly) and WRC-12 (World Radiocommunication Conference) and coordinate with regional organizations on the WRC12 Agenda Items.

- GITEX Telecom Symposium
The symposium will take place on October 10 and 11 at Dubai World Trade Centre and will bring together International and Regional Authorities to discuss mobile communications, the advent of 4G, wireless networks, long term evolution, regulatory issues, new internet and hardware technologies and various forms of telecommunications architecture from both a commercial and academic scope.
Dr. Hoballah will be giving a presentation in the session titled “Telecom meets cloud, the converging of two technologies” on October 10th.

- The Leaders in ICT Middle East event “Building the Digital Middle East: Policy, Regulation and Governance Imperatives”
This event will take place at the Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, 12 October, 2011, and will address today’s most salient topic for the industry within the theme “Building the Digital Middle East: Policy, Regulation and Governance Imperatives.

- ITU Council 2011
The TRA candidature has been accepted to participate as Observer to ITU Council 2011 that will take place at ITU Headquarters in Geneva from Tuesday 11 October to Friday 21 October 2011.

- ITU Telecom World 2011
This event that will take place on October 24-27, 2011 in Geneva, is a gathering of leading industry players, government heads, digital innovators and technological talents focused together on applying the power of connected technology to real-world issues.
ITU Telecom World 2011 will tackle the impressive growth of the sector, the continued advancement and spread of connected technologies, the way they are helping change lives and the importance of networking and partnerships in driving this growth.
