Senior TRA Spectrum Expert, Mr. Mohamad Ayoub, participated in the latest EMERG workshop on May 10- 12, 2011, Larnaca, Cyprus.

The workshop revolved around the switchover from analogue to digital broadcasting and wireless broadband rollout. The event tackled various topics and namely

• Digital dividend policy
• Digital switchover: plans and practice
• Digital Terrestrial TV licensing
• Using the Digital Dividend to realize the potential for wireless broadband
• Assigning Digital Dividend spectrum for wireless broadband services

Mr. Ayoub presented TRA Major Policy Objectives as well as the Digital Terrestrial Television Policy Development and the Analogue Switch-off Planning in a presentation titled: “Draft Framework for Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting in Lebanon”.
