Dr. Imad Hoballah, Acting Chairman and CEO of the TRA, participated as a speaker yesterday in the Lebanon Business and Investment Summit held in Beirut on September 27 –28, 2010 at Movenpick Hotel - Beirut.

This conference gathered a number of Ministers, Board Members, CEOs and Directors of public and private institutions, as well as investors and representatives from international organizations. The themes that were tackled during the conference focused on the foreign direct investment and business environment in Lebanon, in addition to the banking sector and the available investment opportunities in various sectors. Among other major topics, the real estate sector was widely covered as well as the need for infrastructure and partnership development between the public and private sectors and the privatization process.

Dr. Imad Hoballah gave a presentation on "Investment opportunities in the telecommunications sector in Lebanon," where he stressed on the importance of infrastructure development and its positive impact on the National economy. He also shed light on the reality, needs and challenges of the telecommunications market in Lebanon.
