The European Union has donated 0.5 Million Euros to TRA to provide the Authority with crucial equipment that would help build its internal and external capacities. The objectives behind this project are the delivery, installation, commissioning, putting into operation, training and maintenance of telecom equipment, computers and photocopiers for the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Lebanon. Further to a formal bid evaluation process completed end of May 2010, the TRA has received so far PCs and laptops, a high volume digital photocopier, a colour multifunction photocopier, a tape backup library, and an email servers system.

The remaining of the project items (EMC/EMF Test Equipment, a TRA logo and label printing system, a Web-Filtering solution, and a transportable direction finding system) are expected to be delivered within a 120 days contract delivery period.
