The TRA issued a press release clarifying the Authority’s relationship with the Ministry of Telecommunications in response to the recent recurrent statements in the press proclaiming tensions between the Authority and the Ministry.

The Authority declared that there is no inconsistency or conflict between the TRA and the Ministry in regard of the regulatory prerogatives and insisted that all stakeholders in the telecom sector should be joining their efforts to develop the telecommunications market and ensure consumers’ interests.
