Dr. Imad Hoballah participated as a speaker in the XIII meeting of the Permanent Consultative Committee II of the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL), held in Ottawa, Canada from 2 to 5 June 2009 and represented the Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG) . The objective of this Permanent Consultative Committee is to serve as a technical advisory body within CITEL with respect to the coordination and harmonization of standards related to spectrum use and the planning and efficient use of the radio spectrum and satellite orbits for radio services, including broadcasting.

Dr. Hoballah was assigned during the last ASMG meeting held in Dubai (8-12 March 2009) the coordination between ASMG and CITEL activities, particularly within the WRC 11 preparations, and to present the Arab Group’s preliminary positions on all WRC 11 agenda items.
