Arabcom 2009Telecom Summit, the 11th Annual Arab International Telecom Development Summit for The Arab States, will be held in Lebanon on the 28 and 29th of May at Habtoor Grand Hotel.

Held in cooperation with the TRA, under the patronage and presence of the minister of Telecom in Lebanon H.E. Eng Gibrane Bassil, this event will be gathering Ministers, Regulators, Operators, Carriers, service providers, broadcasters, industry leaders, decision makers and content providers as well as media developers, banks and others.

The discussions will evolve around the following topics:

• Broadband a necessity for Socio Economic development & Growth
• Broadband Services Evolution: Opportunities and Challenges for Operators / Services Providers
• Developing new services & Business Models session
• Broadband content and web 2.0
• Broadband Investments Strategies

Dr. Kamal Shehadi, Chairman and CEO of the TRA, will be giving a speech within the panel “Broadband Investment Strategies” on the 29th of May.
