The fifth IEEE Lebanon Communications Workshop 2011 (IEEE LCW'11) will take place on Saturday November 12, 2011 at the Lebanese American University (LAU), Beirut Campus.

This year IEEE LCW'11will address a wide range of topics with focus on emergency communications to highlight the critical role of telecommunications technologies, networks, applications, etc. in crisis management and disaster mitigation. Moreover, the workshop addresses emerging topics that include cloud computing, self organizing/adapting/healing cellular networks, and the recent deployment of 3G in Lebanon.

The workshop will bring together a distinguished group of speakers from Lebanon and abroad including ITU, TRA, Cisco, IT University of Copenhagen, MTC Touch, Nokia Siemens Networks, and Telecom Bretagne.

Special rates are offered to students and IEEE members. The IEEE Communications Society Lebanon Chapter is a non-profit technical organization; registration fees and sponsorships are used to cover the expenses of the event.
