This conference will take place in Hyderabad, India from May 24 to June 4, 2010 at the kind invitation of the Government of India.

The objective of WTDC-10 is to identify priorities for the development of telecommunications and information and communication technologies (ICTs), taking into account contributions made by Member States and Sector Members, and to adopt the Hyderabad Action Plan (HAP) setting the future of activities of the ITU Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D) over the next four-year period.
WTDC-10 will mark the culmination of a series of regional preparatory meetings (RPM) and will be an essential step in assessing the progress achieved in the implementation of the ambitious action plan launched in 2006 in Doha. WTDC-10 will adopt a declaration, a strategic plan and an action plan that will pave the way to building on the foundations of a truly global information society for all.
