Location: Metropolitan hotel
Under Lebanese Business linkages Initiative (LBLI), the Professional Computer Association of Lebanon (PCA) and the Arab ICT Organization (IJMA3) will be presenting the findings of the recently completed “Lebanese Regional ICT Competitiveness Study” on Friday March 12, 2010 at 9 AM at the Metropolitan Hotel-Lebanon.
This survey creates a baseline for the regional potential within the Information and Communication Technology sector and helps to clarify the preparedness of the Lebanese ICT industry to be an more significant player in this regional market. The enumeration of this survey was an independent sub activity of the Lebanese Business Linkages Initiative, a USAID Lebanon project implemented by IJMA3 and AED.
The audience will be composed of private sector leaders representing primarily Lebanese information and communications technology (ICT) companies and other affiliated industries, government officials working to enhance telecommunications in Lebanon, as well as representatives of the NGO community, donors and the media.
The presentation will be immediately followed by a full-day workshop of leading ICT professionals as they develop, together in working groups, a strategy for moving forward their industry based on the findings of this ground-breaking survey.
The Lebanese Business Linkages Initiative, is a key component of USAID and the Government of Lebanon’s Economic Development Strategy and has been designed to expand market access in target supply chains, expand economic growth opportunities in target sectors, and improve private sector capacity to drive economic growth.
