Gathering national and regional industry experts, this meeting is organized by UN - ESCWA to highlight the obstacles facing the development of a self-reliant and sustainable ICT sector in the ESCWA region, and to propose solutions to overcome them in order to build a flourishing regional ICT sector.  The main outcome of the meeting would be a set of recommendations and a preliminary plan of action that are geared towards the development of a viable and sustainable ICT sector in the region.
Dr. Kamal Shehadi, Chairman and CEO of the TRA, will be participating as a keynote speaker in this conference and will present the "TRA Telecom Liberalization Roadmap".
