The TRA, in line with its mission to protect telecommunications consumers as per the telecommunications law 431/2002, wants to promote awareness as a critical aspect of developing a knowledge society to protect children online.

Children are vulnerable and the cyberspace which they surf daily, as it has become a much needed resource, should be a safe and secure place for all future generations to come. Some of the activities that children might be exposed to when accessing the internet could be targets of pedophiles, cyber bandits, hackers and online predators.
