On 9 October 2026, the TRA took part in a panel discussion on electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure at Beirut Arab University in Tripoli.

Representing the TRA, Eng. Sahar Cheaito, Spectrum Management Expert, presented international EMF exposure guidelines and recent scientific developments. She highlighted the Authority’s regulatory role in setting exposure limits and monitoring compliance. She also addressed EMF considerations related to 5G and other emerging technologies, as well as ongoing efforts to update Lebanon’s EMF regulatory framework.

The discussions provided valuable insights to support the ongoing revision of the EMF regulation.
