Pursuant to Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) Decision No. 4/2026, issued on 5 February 2026, the TRA has launched the process of regularizing Internet subscriptions and transitioning subscribers from unlicensed to licensed networks.

Oversight of the process is being carried out in close coordination with licensed Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and the relevant judicial and security authorities, in order to ensure an orderly and smooth transition.

All users connected through unlicensed networks in the areas served by the following ten Ogero central offices are called upon to begin the transition without delay: Ashrafieh, Hamra, Badaro, Adlieh, Mina El Hosn, Ras Beirut, Baabda, Hazmieh, Tripoli – El Mina and Tripoli – El Bahsas.

A licensed ISP may make contact to arrange the regularization of a subscription. In that case, subscribers cooperate with the provider and submit the information and documents required to complete the transition.

Anyone who is not contacted should ask their current provider for the name of the licensed ISP serving their area. It is also possible to consult the list of licensed ISPs and approach a provider directly to begin the required procedures.

Completing the transition as soon as possible is strongly recommended, in order to avoid any interruption to Internet service.
