The purpose of issuing the “New Building Requirements for Broadband service delivery” for a limited consultation is to encourage Broadband services in Lebanon while making sure the buildings are capable of supporting both current and future broadband needs of those living within them.

This document outlines the design requirements to deliver broadband services to tenants within a building. These requirements are for newly constructed buildings and are not meant to alter or modify the existing PSTN guidelines for basic voice services.

The “New Building Requirements for Broadband service delivery” draft is being currently launched for a limited consultation with selected stakeholders. Consultation feedback is due by December 8th, 2008.

The final version of these requirements will be published after the conclusion of the limited consultation process and in coordination with the Directorate General of Urban Planning.
