To all service providers: all licenses issued before 4 April 2007 will expire on 4 April 2008
March 21, 2008

Pursuant to Article 48(1) of Telecommunications Law No. 431 adopted on 23 July 2002, all licenses to provide telecommunications services and/or uses radio frequencies that were issued and/or renewed prior to the establishment of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (the “TRA”) on 4 April 2007 will expire on 4 April 2008.

The TRA is contacting all known licensees impacted by Article 48(1) to ensure that they obtain new licenses prior to the expiration of their existing licenses. If you currently provide telecommunications services and/or use radio frequencies and you have not heard from the TRA, then it may be possible that your existing license is not reflected in our records. In these circumstances, you should contact the TRA immediately about obtaining a new license if you believe you hold a license that will expire on 4 April 2008. Your failure to do so may adversely impact your authority to continue to provide services.
