The TRA extends its congratulations to His Excellency Minister Charles Hage on his appointment as Minister of Telecommunications. Our General Manager, Mr. Amine Moukheiber, attended the official handover ceremony on February 12, 2025, reaffirming the TRA’s commitment to working closely with the ministry to enhance and develop the telecommunications sector.

Minister Hage has emphasized that one of his top priorities is to ensure the full implementation of Law 431 and the appointment of a new board. The TRA welcomes this initiative, as it represents a key step in strengthening the regulatory framework in Lebanon, improving service quality, and ensuring fair competition within the sector.

Following the ceremony, Mr. Moukheiber expressed the TRA's strong support for the Minister’s vision, stating:

"I am very glad that the new Telecom Minister's top priority is to apply Law 431 the soonest. He has already taken immediate steps towards that goal by holding a meeting with top officials at the ministry to set the process in motion, and he has asked me to bring this up to speed."

The TRA also recognizes and supports Minister Hage's commitment to encouraging investments in the telecommunications infrastructure, and mainly in the implementation of 5G networks and improving connectivity via land and sea cables. These efforts will not only enhance service quality but also position Lebanon as a regional digital hub, fostering economic growth and attracting international investments.
