The TRA extends its heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency General Joseph Aoun on his election as President of the Lebanese Republic and to His Excellency Dr. Nawaf Salam on his appointment as Prime Minister. We wish them both every success in leading Lebanon toward stability, peace, and sustainable development.

In his inaugural speech, His Excellency President Aoun emphasized the need to activate the role of regulatory bodies—a critical step toward ensuring transparent governance and economic progress. In alignment with this vision, the TRA strongly urges the swift appointment of a new board for the Authority, which has remained vacant since 2012.

The TRA also calls for the immediate activation of its operations and full empowerment under the provisions of Telecommunications Law 431/2002. For over a decade, political interference has hindered the Authority’s ability to exercise its mandated prerogatives, impeding the telecommunications sector’s potential as a pillar of national growth.
