Risks of Internet usage in Cyber Cafés revealed by TRA expert at UNESCO conference

Dr. Wafa Bou Diab, Quality Control Expert at the TRA gave a presentation, yesterday Monday, June 20th titled "Towards Child-Friendly Internet Cafes" where she explained the risks that children are exposed to while surfing the Internet in cyber cafes. This presentation took place in the framework of 2nd day of the "Quality Assured Outcomes in all Lebanese Schools" UNESCO Conference and related to the project lead by Mr. Taan Chaib, Chairman of "the Excellence in Learning and Leadership Foundation" (ELLF).

Dr. Bou Diab show-cased in her presentation a benchmark of efforts deployed in other countries to regulate the cyber café businesses. She also reviewed potential solutions that need to be implemented to protect children browsing the Internet in public places. Questions and answers followed her session where various interesting topics were raised.
