Mrs. Corine Feghaly, TRA Senior Consumer Affairs Expert represented the TRA at INET, the first Internet Society conference in Lebanon and exposed the TRA actions on child safety on the Internet. She also related the main regulations and laws in Lebanon and around the world revolving around this subject.

INET was organized and hosted by the Internet Society (ISOC) on Thursday October 14th at the Grand Habtoor Hotel, reaching out to a wide spectrum of Internet users hailing mainly from Lebanon and focusing on doing business in the social networking era, content delivery networks (CDN) and child online safety.

Further to the presentation of Mrs. Feghaly, a panel discussion raised interesting topics among international and local experts for a unified vision in the interest of children protection and the importance of awareness as a strategic resolution method. These experts included Ms. Christine Runnegar, Senior Manager for Public Policy at ISOC, Mr. Henri Asseily, Director of ADF solutions, Mr. Elie Mikhael, Secretary General of Lebanese Higher Council for Childhood along with Ms. Parry Aftab, Executive Director of WiredTrust and Ms. Nevine Tewfik, Director of the Cyber Peace Initiative, Egypt who assisted the panel by conference call.
