The Faculty of Law of the University of Jordan is organizing the Second Regional Arab cyber-security day titled
"Safety and security in cyberspace" on November 21-23, 2011 under the auspices of the Professor and Chairman of the University of Jordan and in cooperation with the Arab Observatory for cybersecurity.
The observatory will tackle the following topics:
- The Economic and social repercussions of cyber security.
- ICT security challenges and cyberspace protection, and the facilities that a safe cyberspace offers.
- e-government and the requirements for information and privacy protection.
- The investigations and prosecutions and the prerogatives of the judicial police and security forces with respect to cyber crimes.
- Status of ICT protection and the risks facing the national security.
- The role of the government, the academic sector, the civil society and the other sectors in raising awareness about the importance cybersecurity.
- The challenges facing the privacy required for cloud computing services.
- Cyber war
- The role of international and regional organizations.
- social challenges and the risks facing children and adolescents while surfing the Internet
