On June 13, 2024, TRA Engineers, Said Haidar and Manal Shihab, took part in the Fourth Regional Arab Internet and Telecom Union (ARISPA) Conference, titled "Bridging Tomorrow: From Cybersecurity to Cloud Computing", held at the Grand Serail in Beirut.

Eng. Said Haidar, Type Approval, QoS and Standards Manager, Cybersecurity Expert, and a Member of the National Cybersecurity Committee, along with Eng. Manal Shihab, Senior Software Engineer, Cybersecurity Expert, and Member of the National Cybersecurity Committee, were among the key participants.

Held under the patronage of Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, this conference focused on critical issues such as Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, AI, and Digital Transformation. It brought together leading officials and decision makers from the public and private sectors, both locally and internationally, to foster collaboration and restore trust in Lebanon amid challenging times.

In his opening speech, Prime Minister Mikati emphasized the importance of public-private sector partnership and international collaboration to combat cybersecurity threats. He praised the efforts of the National Cybersecurity Committee, stating, "Cyber security is a top priority and a key challenge facing Lebanon and the entire world. The National Cyber Security Committee, which includes the concerned ministries and administrations, is exerting tremendous efforts in that respect. We renew commitment to providing the required cyberspace against the malicious cyber security attacks, in tight coordination with all the concerned ministries and apparatuses, and in collaboration with the European Union and all the international partners.”

The conference served as a crucial platform for discussing advancements and strategies in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital transformation, reinforcing Lebanon's commitment to safeguarding its digital infrastructure.
