TRA Market and Competition Unit Tariffs Manager speaks at the Regional Forum for International Day of Girls in ICT

On May 12, 2024, Ms. Carole Hage, TRA Market and Competition Unit Tariffs Manager, took part in the regional forum organized by the Iraqi Communications and Media Commission in collaboration with the Arab Regional Office of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to celebrate the International Day of Girls in ICT.
Ms. Hage contributed to a dialogue session titled "Intergenerational Dialogue on Using ICT to Enhance Leadership Skills". The session featured members of the Steering Committee of the Network of Women of ITU-D in the Arab Region. In her interventions, Ms. Hage emphasized the importance of women setting their priorities and mastering time management. She pointed out that the most critical investment women can make in their professional lives is in acquiring knowledge and developing their skills. This is especially vital as the advancement and proliferation of digital technologies across diverse economic sectors necessitate multidisciplinary T-shaped skillsets.
In conjunction with the forum, First Lady Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed hosted the members of the Network of Women at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad. She highlighted the need to integrate girls into the fields of science, information technology, and communications to enhance their digital skills and make a positive impact on the world.The First Lady underscored her belief that women play a crucial role in achieving sustainable development goals.
