TRA Acting Head and General Manager Mr. Amine Moukheiber and the staff welcomed yesterday H.E. Minister Johnny Corm and his consultants Me Ziad Chalfoun and Mrs. Janine Mallah at the Authority’s premises.

Mr. Amine Moukheiber welcomed Minister Corm and thanked him for his support. He also introduced the team members and their various fields of expertise.

On the other hand, Minister Corm stressed on the importance of the enactment of Law 431 and the role of the TRA in the Telecom sector, and announced that he has started working on the process of appointing board members for the TRA considering this process as one of his top priorities during the limited time of his assignment as the Minister of Telecommunications. He also pointed out the necessity for a TRA/MoT cooperation to develop the sector and ensure its sustainability by utilizing TRA staff expertise and competencies. Hence, it was agreed that a framework shall be defined between the TRA and the Ministry of Telecommunications to enhance the cooperation between the two organizations.
