TRA Acting General Manager, Mr. Amine Moukheiber, participated in the business edition of the
13th Annual Arab Conference at
Harvard Business School on November 9-10, 2019. Mr. Moukheiber was a speaker on the
"Regulation - A Hurdle or an Enabler" panel that explored the role of regulations in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The key questions that were tackled during this panel were the following:
- How can we transform the regulatory landscape in the MENA region into an enabler for the fast technological advancements required?
- What are the key focus areas and how are we tackling them today (e.g. data privacy, cyber security, digital processing and fintech)?
- What are the necessary changes in public-private landscape to support the success of revolution?
Mr. Moukheiber tackled the status of the 4th revolution in the MENA region, the MENA Fintech market and the government initiatives in Fintech regulation and start-ups development. He also spoke about data privacy and security, regulations in the MENA region and in Lebanon specifically as well as the Public-Private sectors cooperation.
