Eng. Manal Shihab, TRA Senior Software Expert, participated in the ABLE (Accessibility for a Bolder Learning Experience) Summit 2019 that was held at the American University of Beirut under the patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers H.E. Mr. Saad Al Hariri on April 11 – 12, 2019.

The theme of the summit was “What was impossible yesterday is possible today with technology!”

ABLE (Accessibility for a Bolder Learning Experience), is an IT@A.U.B initiative by the Office of Information Technology (IT) in collaboration with the Student Affairs Accessible Education Office (A.E.O) to open the doors of higher education for all through digital accessibility. It aims at increasing the retention and success rates of students with disabilities and to support their readiness for life after university. The scope covered assistive technologies (A.T), learning content, services, resources, policies, inclusive IT support, collaboration platforms, IT facilities and learning spaces.
